Hey everyone! Guess what? Allie and me, we totally blew it. The year was getting to be such a blast that we didn't have the heart to write about anything. Well, we're sorry, we won't do it again, Nixon fans. Now, let me tell you, it was a pretty bizarre week all right, we were doomed to death!
Sally: Today was crazy. This morning, when we got to school, we read for our morning warm-up and then we had Galleons. It was totally cool. Galleons is like this kind of project. There are 4 groups and they are "scallywags on Spanish ships" going to the "New World". Well, today, my ship got 16 moves! Not to brag or anything, but it was so cool! Yeah, anyway. Then we had Morning Girl, and since my partner and I already finished the book, I sat next to Allie and her partner while they read Morning Girl. I got mad at Allie for not lending me this book I really love, called Much Ado About Anne or something, and she still wouldn't let me have it. Oh well, during recess, me and Eureka played basketball and Allie played this really weird game named Kaos tag. Then, after that, we had this math class, and I just totally HATE math. So we were like, Eeek, I don't want to do math. So me and a friend started passing notes. And it was totally cool. Then we did some weird riddle kind of worksheets. Bryan and Allie went up to do some theater work that had to do with the stuff we were working on, and it was totally funny. Now, to Allie.
Allie: After eeky math, JLS, one of the middle schools us Nixon 5th graders may go to, drove here with their bands to show us what kinds of instruments we were allowed to play in middle school. The string orchestra played a classical song, a tango, and 3 rock 'n' roll songs. The woodwinds or something band played the theme from the Pirates of the Carribean, put on a musical about Mary Potter, and a song that has to do with Indiana Jones. It was really cool. After the performance, we finished our math worksheets until lunch and during lunch recess. Me, Sally, and Eureka started a Knock-out game. After a while, we attracted some of the best basketball players and it was scary! When lunch recess was over, Mr. McD. read us some more of a book called Following Fake Man, then we had science. Chemistry was what we were learning, and today we did an experiment. Me and Sally hated science so we wanted it to end as soon as possible. But it took up to 15 min. before the bell rang for "school's out"! After science, Mr. McD. answered questions on a book report called Panel of Experts where we have to group together with 3 or 4 other students and read a nonfiction book about a particular topic which all of us chose and become an expert to make a "panel" board on that subject. Luckily, me, Sally, Eureka, and Ai got into a group to study about orcas. Anyhow, after school was over, I sighed a breath of relief and was on my way to the library to stay until my dad picked me and my annoying brother up.
So that was our quite tornadoish day! Hope you enjoyed yours!
